How to ~ login to my website?
If we have provided you with a website, then you will be able to login by following this example

  • In your web browser, add the following “/wp-admin” to your domain name,
    eg. www.simplestuff.nz/wp-admin or www.YourDomain.nz/wp-admin
  • You can then enter the username and password that we provided you after setting up the website

  • If you receive messages about the wrong credentials, then you can try the “Lost your password?” link below the login box.

How to ~ add a page to my website?
What is a Page

A Page on your website in WordPress, is commonly used as a static place to put information.  For example, an About page, or Product page which lists details.

How to create a Page

Inside your website WordPress Admin, you will see a menu on the left hand side of the screen, you can select “Pages” to view all and edit current pages, or “Add New” which will allow you to create a new page.

  • Title – This is the name of the page that will show in the menu structure to website users, make it short and useful.
  • Permalink – This is the page name for the website address, important for search engines and when you share the page.
  • Body – This is where the bulk of the content goes.  You can add standard text and format it using the basic tools.  There are also options to go more advanced using the Divi Builder.
  • Saving Your Page – On the right, you will see a “Publish” button, which will make the page live on the website, or you can “Save Draft” to keep your changes until you are finished.
  • Adding Your Page to the Menu – This needs to be done using the menu option “Appearance > Menus

How to ~ add a blog post to my website?
What is a Post

A Post on your website in WordPress, is commonly used to post news, updates, interesting articles, in a blog format.  For example, posts about new products, or events, include dates, photos and links to relevant information.

How to create a Post

Inside your website WordPress Admin, you will see a menu on the left hand side of the screen, you can select “Posts” to view all and edit current posts, or “Add New” which will allow you to create a new post right away.

  • Title – This is the name of the post that will show to website users, try to use descriptive keywords.
  • Permalink – This is the post name for the website address, important for search engines and when you share the page.
  • Body – This is where the bulk of the content goes.  You can add standard text and format it using the basic tools.  There are also options to go more advanced using the Divi Builder.
  • Saving Your Post – On the right, you will see a “Publish” button, which will make the post live on the website, or you can “Save Draft” to keep your changes until you are finished.
  • The published post will show on your blog page if this has been setup.  With some more advanced setup, these posts can also be published to your social media profiles.
